September 9, 2010 – DIGITALiBiz (iBiz) announced today that it has been awarded a new multimillion dollar contract to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Analytical Support for Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) & Operations Planning Services. As part of this four-year contract, awarded under the FAA Electronic FAA Accelerated & Simplified Tasks (eFAST) Master Ordering Agreement, iBiz will support a wide variety of Air Traffic Operations & Management analysis, systems analysis and business process analysis and engineering services.
NextGen is a comprehensive overhaul of the National Airspace System (NAS) to make air travel more convenient and dependable, while ensuring flights are safe, secure and as hassle-free as possible. In a continuous roll-out of improvements and upgrades, the FAA is building the capability to guide and track air traffic more precisely and efficiently to save fuel and reduce noise and pollution.
