August 24, 2011 – DIGITALiBiz (iBiz) announced today that it has been awarded two separate prime contracts that will benefit the company’s strategic growth and expansion efforts into new markets. iBiz was awarded a SeaPort-e contract to support the U.S. Navy and a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Both contracts allow iBiz to provide professional services and Information Technology (IT) solutions to support mission-critical operations.
Mike Wu, iBiz CEO and President said, “we are excited about the opportunity to expand our customer base by leveraging these two new contract vehicles.” Wu added, “our IT capabilities and experience supporting other federal government customers gives us confidence that we can successfully provide value-added solutions to support both Navy and NIH customers.”
SeaPort-e is the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas. The iBiz team will focus on six of these areas including Engineering, System Engineering and Process Engineering Support; System Design Documentation and Technical Data Support; Software Engineering, Development, Programming, and Network Support; Configuration Management Support; Quality Assurance (QA) Support; and Program Support.
The NIH BPA gives iBiz a contract vehicle to provide NIH’s 27 Institutes and Centers with a wide range of IT services including Database Planning and Design; Systems Analysis and Design; Network Services; and Data/Records Management.
“Having these contract vehicles provides NIH and Navy customers with a streamlined method to allow iBiz to help them achieve their goals and objectives,” said Wu. “Our approach is to work closely with our customers to get to know the challenges they face, understand their vision and determine how we can best support them to ensure we exceed their expectations.”
