September 19, 2011– DIGITALiBiz (iBiz) announced today that it has received the prestigious Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) 2011 Small & Disadvantaged Business Award. iBiz received this award as a result of the company’s significant contributions as a partner to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) efforts to improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of the National Airspace System (NAS). Over the past year, iBiz has been supporting several FAA offices including the NextGen and Operations Planning Organization (AJP) where iBiz team members are providing technical support for the Integrated NAS Design and Procedures (INDP) Project and manage the research phase of the Greenier Skies over Seattle Project.

iBiz has also made measurable improvements to the infrastructure, management, and laboratory operations of the FAA William J. Hughes Oceanic Integration and Interoperability Facility (OIIF), as well as contributed to OIIF studies such as the NextGen Atlantic Interoperability Initiative to Reduce Emissions (AIRE).
This award will be officially presented to iBiz at a special luncheon held during ATCA’s 56th Annual Conference & Exposition, October 2-5, 2011 at the National Harbor, MD.
