January 26, 2021 – DIGITALiBiz, Inc. (iBiz) announced today that John Markey has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Since joining iBiz in 2012 as Vice President, Mr. Markey has managed a large operational portfolio to include clients within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the United States Navy. He has been instrumental in bringing in new work including the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Polar Programs (NPP) and several FAA contracts. “John has played an integral role in ensuring our core base was retained by winning our recompete contracts,” said Michael Wu, iBiz CEO & CIO. “He has earned and deserves this promotion,” continued Wu.
In his new role, Mr. Markey will provide oversight of operational coordination with the iBiz Recruiting Department and the iBiz Training and Educational Programs and will manage the Program Management Office (PMO). In addition, Mr. Markey will serve as a backup to iBiz President, Stephen Murray. Mr. Markey will continue to oversee his existing customer base and seek new opportunities at the FAA and the Department of the Navy.
Over the course of his 32-year career, Mr. Markey has excelled in managing aviation, management, and engineering contracts and implementing resources and technology to increase productivity. He has extensive experience supporting the FAA, Department of Defense (DoD), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Prior to joining iBiz, Mr. Markey was Vice President of CSSI, Inc. where he was key to their growth and expansion from a small to large business.
