July 13, 2012 – iBiz is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. John Markey as iBiz’s Vice President of Operations. Mr. Markey will oversee all Federal and Commercial contracts and operations for iBiz. Mr. Markey will also bring to bear his knowledge and experience to enhance iBiz operational practices and corporate development.

John Markey has more than 25 years of operations, business development, financial management, strategic planning, and personnel compliance experience supporting the federal government market. His technical expertise includes software development, infrastructure management, requirements management, simulator training support, web and web portal development, systems engineering and program management. Mr. Markey is well versed in the implementation of quality management practices including ISO 9001:2008 and CMMI. He has supported federal clients including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Defense (DoD) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Prior to joining iBiz, Mr. Markey was Vice President of CSSI, Inc.’s National Security Division where he was responsible for cultivating new customers and developing a National Security Division portfolio. In addition to maintaining and growing existing DoD work, he was responsible for the early identification and positioning of major national security areas, including the Department of State and Department of Homeland Security market initiatives, with a primary focus on enhancing existing and developing new services required by customers in this area. Mr. Markey was key to the growth and expansion of CSSI from a small to large business. Mr. Markey also worked at MiTech, Inc., where he began his career supporting the FAA.
Mr. Markey holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland (1987).
