IT Portfolio Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or business-related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT portfolio management
  • Minimum 1 year DoD-related experience
  • Experience developing presentations, instructional, and procedural documentation
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst on large and complex projects
  • Demonstrated portfolio management skills and strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated skills supporting meetings for varying levels of personnel
  • Effectiveness working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives
  • Familiarity with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize, prepare, and present portfolio information across all levels
  • Skills in process mapping and business process reengineering
  • High level of competence with MS Office

Description & Responsibilities

The IT Portfolio Manager will be responsible for supporting the information technology (IT) portfolio governance process, including the analysis and reporting of portfolio investments to enable effective decision making for the Army G 3/5/7 and Army Business Systems (ABS) for force management (FM), readiness, and training functions.

 

Duties will include:

  • Facilitating portfolio reviews to identify redundancies, gaps, and investment needs
  • Conducting Department of Defense (DoD) and Army business process mapping for ABS within the WMA
  • Develop criteria to evaluate the portfolio of IT investments that are generally objective and applied across all investments
  • Support regular governance board meetings with content and operations
  • Registering, integrating, and maintaining all business processes and ABS investment management documentation for training, readiness, and FM in the Army Business Mission Area architecture repository
  • Ensuring ABS within the WMA are compliant with the Army Business Enterprise Architecture
  • Providing support to establish and maintain governance for the WMA and ABS for FM, readiness, and training functions
