Senior Test Automation Tester
  • 10+ years of automated testing experience
  • In-depth subject matter expertise in existing applications and technology used for automation scripts, including hands-on experience with Test Automation Solutions such as Selenium
  • Strong hands on experience with executing automated tests, along with debugging and root cause analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Linux command languages, and other programming languages
  • In depth knowledge of quality control processes and methodology, with ability to create and execute detailed test plans and test cases
  • Experience working closely with clients and development teams to design, build, and test applications
  • Experience directing system enhancements and defect closure with stakeholders
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and analytical skills


Communication and Collaboration Skills

  • Written: Must be able to communicate effectively through e-mail and all other written communications. Ability to communicate testing results to all individuals with varying degrees of technical knowledge
  • Oral: Communicate in a manner that demonstrates professionalism. Active participation in project meetings is required


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to identify inconsistencies between requirements and delivered capabilities
  • Proven in-depth analytical skills are necessary to identify and troubleshoot quality issues and to assist in problem resolution

Preferred Skills

  • Any experience in the following tools: Rally; Defect management tools to include Bugzilla and Jira; Subversion; Jenkins; HP LoadRunner; HP SiteScope for Load Testing; HP Shunra Network Virtualization; TeamQuest; AppDynamics; Linux command languages; SPLUNK; SQL; OpenNMS; JMeter; and JAWS

Description & Responsibilities

The Senior Test Automation Tester role provides technical design support and conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure all application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. This position will primarily focus on designing, building, testing, and deploying effective test automation solutions. The Senior Test Automation Tester will interact regularly with internal and client teams and be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of complex testing solutions.


Duties will also include the following:

  • Analyzes functional requirements to design specific test scenarios that ensure proper automation test coverage and depth
  • Designs, develops, configures, and maintains automated test frameworks and custom test solutions
  • Identifies, documents, creates, and maintains valid and invalid test data
  • Leverages appropriate testing tools and techniques based on technology domain


Physical requirements for this position

  • Must be able to sit and work at a computer station for long periods.
